Here’s the first trailer for “The Carrie Diaries”, the new CW serie starring AnnaSophia Robb, Austin Butler, Freema Agyeman and others!

Today (17), AnnaSophia attented to the CW 2012 Upfronts, along with a bunch of celebrities from the network such as Nina Dobrev, Ian Somerhalder, Jensen Ackles, Jared Padalecki, Rachel Bilson, Maggie Q and many others. See the pictures by clicking the thumbnails below!

As previously reported here, The CW picked up AnnaSophia’s new serie, “The Carrie Diaries” for the 2012-2013 season.

“The Carrie Diaries”, the “Sex and the City” prequel and one of The CW’s highest profile projects, doesn’t make its CW debut until midseason. When it does, Carrie Bradshaw will take over the “Gossip Girl” timeslot.

(…) “The dramas we have for next season are outstanding, with relatable characters and breakout stars. The Carrie Diaries,’ with the story of a young Carrie Bradshaw set in the 1980s, is perfect for our audience.”

Looks like The CW is heading back to “The City,” or at least, back in time with Carrie Bradshaw.

On Friday, the network announced it was picking up “The Carrie Diaries,” the “Sex and The City” prequel, based on the young adult novels from Candace Bushnell, according to TV Line.

The show stars AnnaSophia Robb as a teenage Carrie Bradshaw, and Stefania Owen, the daughter from the now-canceled Fox comedy “Running Wilde” as Carrie’s little sister, Dorrit.

The drama will focus on a high school-aged Carrie, following the death of her mother, as she is raised by her father in Connecticut.

The site Variety.com has reported that Steve Carell and Toni Collete has joined the cast of Jim Rash and Nat Faxon’s new indie movie, “The Way, Way Back”. AnnaSophia Robb was already casted to star in the movie.

There’s a “Little Miss Sunshine” reunion on the horizon, as Steve Carell and Toni Collette are joining the cast of Jim Rash and Nat Faxon’s directorial debut “The Way, Way Back.”
Sam Rockwell, Allison Janney and Annasophia Robb were already attached to star in the indie, which follows a teen boy who struggles to find himself as he comes to terms with his unattentive mother and cheating stepfather during summer vacation.

Collette will play the boy’s mother, while Carell will play the protag’s stepdad, who likes to drink, do drugs and carouse with other women. Kevin Walsh is producing through his Walsh Co. banner, and production is skedded to start this summer.
